Peter Hughes
Chartered Accountant

About Peter Hughes

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 with Malthouse & Company, a practice in Liverpool City Centre, and moved on in 1999 to work in property management. In January 2004 I started my own practice, initially in Birkenhead but then in York from 2008.

Prior to becoming an accountant I spent a number of years in banking after graduating from Oxford University in 1985.

I specialise in the VAT and regularly write and present both public and in-house seminars as well as offering consultancy. Since 2013 I have had a regular speaking engagement on European VAT issues with the IBFD in Amsterdam and have also spoken in Malta, Switzerland and Ireland as well as regularly in the UK since 2004. I am available for in-house as well as public courses.
